Wow still going with this one, almost has as many comments as the mentors discussion. there is a very special reason that law makers want guns off the streets, no resistance. There is a very special reason why people want guns off the streets, fear. There is a reason people want to keep their guns, resistance. There is a reason people want to keep their guns, fear. Both sides of this argument are using statistics for proof that they are correct. Both side are not listening to each other at all. Here is the cold hard truth. People have been around for a very short term on this planet, less then a blink of an eye in the life of this planet, not to mention the life of the universe itself. People have been finding ways to kill each other since the beginning. For an even shorter time it has become wrong and illegal to kill. That has not stopped it. From the serial killer hiding in plain sight using a rope to strangle a victim, to the gangs shooting in the streets. That has all become illegal, and being illegal has not stopped the killing. People don't look for weapons to kill with, they look for reasons to justify the action in their minds. The tool is just a tool, the mind is the true weapon, and a defective weapon is a truly dangerous thing. There are people in this world that would kill you if you looked in their direction, for wearing a particular color, for being in the wrong faith, the wrong skin color, the list for reasons is unending and truly frightening. I am sure I could come up with some story to try and sway the argument one way or another so here it goes. Road rage is a scary thing, someone in an S.U.V. has decided to ram your car over and over again. It is clear that he is intent on killing you and everyone in your car. Would you want- A: A baseball bat B: A knife C: A .22 bolt action rifle with 5 round mag. D: A .45 semi auto pistol with 15 round mag. E: A tank to defend yourself and your family? Answer honestly and I will tell you what's wrong with your answer. :P lol
