By Victoria Vasylenko

GENRE: Drama, Fantasy
LOGLINE: A young woman, looking for her kidnapped daughter, learns how human destinies are controlled. She may lose everything and never see her child again, but she can give her baby a better destiny.

SYNOPSIS:

A man takes her wife to a maternity hospital but their child is born dead. The man asks doctors to switch babies. Doctors agree. As a result a young homeless woman is told that her daughter was born dead. But the woman does not believe that and starts her own investigation creating troubles for the doctors. The man turns out to be a gangster and he organizes abduction of the woman and her placement into a mental health clinic. At the clinic the woman starts seeing visions of her child’s happiest moments. The woman makes beadworks of those. Also she seems to have an affair with an orderly from the clinic. The orderly in fact is fooling her around. At the same time the little girl’s life is shown. Indifference of her “parents” quickly turns those happy moments into bad experiences. Also it turns out that her “father” is having problems with other gangsters. The woman’s beadworks serve as a prerequisite for her transfer. And after she makes a certain number of them she is transferred to a strange place called the Beadhouse. At the Beadhouse the woman finds out that by beading she may influence the real world events and human destinies. Also she finds out that her visions are true. She is supposed to choose beads blindly but her visions give her an edge and she knows that she can influence lives of her daughter and her “father”. But the woman does her best not to interfere because she is too law-abiding. The daughter at the same time enters the UCLA and meets a rich boy there who does not really care about her. Another boy does but he is too shy. When he finds out that the girl is looking for the woman’s beadworks (not knowing who the author really is) he helps the girl and conquers her heart. To find out about her real mother the girl has to find one more beadwork but that one is kept by the woman’s employer. And the woman decides to cheat a bit, but that turns upside down the whole course of events. The man gets into trouble. Trying to protect the girl, whom he at last starts to respect, he only gets her into his troubles too. That’s when the woman decides to interfere for real, knowing that she will lose her wonderful job. The woman makes a beadwork that guides events so that her daughter stays alive while the man dies. She is suspended from beading, but her daughter finally finds out that she has a mother somewhere. At the last moment the woman is told by her employer that what she did was dictated by love, which is in fact required of beaders that guide the world destinies. So the woman gets even promoted in the organization called the Beadhouse.
