A wannabe cheerleader, the school nerd, and a Deputy are a town’s only hope when a mysterious meteor turns the cheer squad into mindless, flesh-eating zombies.

SYNOPSIS:

Cheerleader Becky is having sex with her boyfriend Lance in his car one night when a meteor crashes nearby. Interested more in the space object than letting Lance finish, Becky quickly moves to check it out. As usual when one gets too curious, bad things happen. The meteor cracks open and showers Becky in thick, slimy ooze which infects her with a form of zombie virus. Now no longer able to control her urge for human flesh, Becky feasts on Lance’s head.

The next day at school Megan Foley is determined to ask out her unrequited love interest, star quarterback Tuck Bateman, despite his not being able to remember her name. Her shot at love is thwarted however when her archrival and captain of the cheerleading squad Britney Masterson publicly humiliates her.

During class, Megan notices Becky wandering the school grounds. Britney angrily confronts her teammate, which ends up with Becky biting off Britney’s finger and attacking several students.

Later in the nurse’s office Britney laments to her minions Shelley and Wendy that they need to find a replacement for Becky on the team. Megan offers her services but is berated and callously rejected by Britney.

Undeterred, Megan later shows up to cheerleading tryouts, confident she can impress Britney enough to finally make the team. But a miscalculation sends Megan crashing into her nemesis and ending her cheer dreams once and for all.

Meanwhile, the Sheriff and Deputy Holland patrol a neighborhood where they encounter Becky, who quickly eats the Sheriff. Holland tries to take out Becky but is grabbed by two more cheerleaders turned zombies. He manages to make his escape before heading back to the station where he loads himself up with weapons. When asked by the dispatcher what he’s going to do, his reply is simple: “Same thing I did in high school… nail a few cheerleaders.”

That night at Britney’s, Wendy and Shelley are staying over in support of their captain. As Britney tries to sleep, the girls play a revealing game of Truth or Dare, which leads to a fight between the two. The fight leads to them making up…then making out. In the other room, Britney’s condition has worsened to the point of death. But she doesn’t stay dead.

The night of the big football game, the entire town is there to support the team. Conspicuously, the cheer squad is missing. As the game begins, the cheerleaders make their way to the field. Every one of them a flesh-eating zombie. The visiting team’s cheer squad confronts Becky and her team, only to be savagely torn apart or turned into zombies themselves. As all hell breaks loose, Megan jumps into action, her best friend and school nerd Simon by her side. They are soon joined by Deputy Holland. The three form a kick ass zombie cheerleader killing squad, saving the lives of as many townspeople as they can. During the battle, Megan finally gains the upper hand on Britney, killing her. Simon meets the love of his life and Deputy Holland… well, Deputy Holland kills some fucking zombies.

In the end, Megan achieves her destiny, making the cheer squad and is even named captain. Tuck has even learned her name and asks her out, but Megan politely declines.

Somewhere in the woods, a cute little bunny hops along the ground. It is picked up by twisted, deformed hands before Becky bites it’s head off.
