An aging actress is fitted with a device that revitalizes her career by making her appear young but piques the interest of terrifying rivals, creating a real-life soap opera filmed by paparazzi drones.

SYNOPSIS:

Gigi McCoy has become a has-been. Kicked off her long-running TV show, dumped by her cheating co-star husband, Douglas Winters, and harassed by paparazzi drones with zoom lenses, she’s just about ready to lose it when she witnesses the brutal death of her best friend and agent, Trudy Newman by a paparazzi drone-blinded bus driver. At Trudy’s funeral, she spots Radna, a peculiar rep who works for Juvé Studios and follows her to a shopping center in Koreatown. After being temporarily trapped in a meat-locker elevator, she discovers that Juvé Studios Execs are in the basement of a Karaoke bar and are interested in signing her if she agrees to wear an app-based, high-tech device called The Cloak, which astonishingly transforms her into her headshot from 2001. In her new skin, she dominates Hollywood, her extravagant reemergence a booming success. Everyone wants her attention, including Douglas and a deranged, hooded stalker who follows her screaming that she’ll “expire too!” Did I mention she’s also the newest superhero, Jaguar? That she’s in Geronimo 5? But all anyone really wants to know is what is Gigi’s secret? Then, her face glitches on set and is caught on camera. What happens next is like a plot from her old TV show: kidnapping, possible murder from twenty-four stories up, a crazy, half-demonic drum circle in Venice Beach, and a face-off with Douglas who has gained possession of it.
