A grounded and gritty emotion packed drama about a dead mother, a determined daughter, a half brother in denial, and the best makeshift family a person could ever wish for.
SYNOPSIS:
After their mom is killed Jack and Neely’s world collapses around them. Just 10 years old, Neely grabs on tight to the people that show up for her. For Jack, 19, the overwhelming pressure of sudden responsibility drives him away, leaving behind his sister and his chance at family. The heart wrenching and never ending struggle that follows Jack and Neely defines their relationship as they face the emotional battle of loving, losing - and for Jack, leaving. Again and again. Told in two timelines; THEN and NOW, this series chronicles the lives of Neely and Jack and- in true ensemble style- the “family that happened” around them. Together they navigate friendship, love, and of course, drama - raising each other along the way. A heartfelt journey, “dear life.” is about the intimate and intricate connections we make in life and families that grow out of circumstance.
