1991, somewhere in rural western Germany lovesick student Paul writes the song of his lifetime. Instead of getting him "the girl", his song appears to be stolen by a certain Mr. Kurt Cobain, who publishes it under the title of "Smells like Teen Spirit". Dear Courtney is about Paul's desperate odyssey fighting for his intellectual property along with true love during Nirvana's legendary 1991 tour through Germany.
