A poisoned pharaoh woken from a 3,000 year slumber vows to regain her throne, only it's 2024 and she's got amnesia and a wicked hangover.

SYNOPSIS:

Mosi Khaba’s Revenge is a fractured fairy tale where beer – not a kiss – revives the “sleeping beauty,” Pharaoh Mosi Khaba. Think Princess Bride meets Cleopatra. Mosi Khaba – daughter of Isis, Queen of the Nile and ruler of all Egypt – is a party pharaoh who takes her eye off the prize and gets poisoned by her half-brother Thutmose in 1,700 B.C., only to be discovered 3,724 years later, in 2024, by Omar and Hakim, two workers in the ministry of antiquities. Mosi Khaba, however, remembers only her name and that she was deposed; thus, she vows revenge. But how to achieve it? She can only get back to 1700 B.C. with her pharaoh regalia – especially her flail and shepherd’s crook, the tools by which the ETs taught all pharaohs to time-travel. Too bad she was always hung over and didn’t attend class regularly.

Omar is smitten with the newly risen pharaoh. He breaks into the Cairo Museum that night and steals Mosi Khaba’s pharaoh regalia, complete with flail and crook. She then transports them back to 1700 B.C., with a few mishaps along the way, where they join her in trying to capture the rebel leader Akhon to prove her loyalty to Thutmose. However, she must overcome poisoning by Mavka, Thutmose’s evil wife; and treachery from Nekhbet, Mosi Khaba’s half-sister intent on securing the golden pharaoh throne for herself.

She must also overcome herself: her tendency to shrug things off; her klutziness as well as her drinking problem. For example, when she’s sent to torture rebel leader Akhon, he instead escapes; when she goes undercover into the rebel camp to arrest him, she instead gets discovered and booted out. Back in Alexandria, Nekhbet frames Mosi Khaba, who is arrested and tortured. Thutmose releases her on the condition she finds Akhon, but when she does he helps restore her brain and memory and she remembers falling in love with Akhon when she was pharaoh. That’s when Thutmose had her poisoned. Mosi Khaba, then, goes from working for Thutmose to leading the rebel army and defeating him, then regaining her throne, sharing it with Akhon and sobering up. Indeed, Mosi Khaba starts history’s first Alcoholics Anonymous class! Omar and Hakim decide to stay in the past; Omar as Mosi Khaba’s chief advisor, and Hakim as a student of Thoth’s studying the Emerald Green Tablets of Atlantis.
