Bravo, Katherine! The short was really fun and entertaining. I loved the color grade and sound design and your actress did a fantastic job playing solo -- and the cloning VFX at the end was a nice touch!

I just produced a broadcast TV series (a life coaching talk show) via a virtual remote (Zoom) shoot based in Los Angeles. It leaves a LOT to be desired in terms of intimacy, actor "blocking" (any movement at all! LOL!) and production values but also opens up lots of new opportunities (guests we might not have been able to afford to fly in/put up or get for a few days are more inclined to commit to an hour from their home, etc.).
I just became a Certified COVID Compliance Officer (for Film & TV Productions) and it's interesting: for every COVID health and safety logistical issue remote shoots solve, they can create new tech (and shipping logistics!) challenges!
I'm also getting my MFA at SCAD (the Savannah College of Art and Design) and in addition to all the union COVID protocols, academia has a secondary layer - often even stricter (cast of <4; crew of <8 if you're gonna shoot in the real world).
It's a whole new world.
One - sadly - I think we'll be in for at least another year. So... if we want to be shooting, we all need to get up to speed on all these work-arounds.
Thank you for sharing your trials and current solutions!
