After catastrophic volcano activity pushed humanity to the brink, a Shanghai orphan with an affinity for plant-life, must use her abilities to unravel the mystery of the gargantuan alien Tendrils. While avoiding banishment to the Fleshie side of the wall, she must discover whether the Tendrils are imperative to humanity's survival, or are only days from causing its destruction.
