SINGLE GIRL'S GUIDE TO NARCISSISTS WRITTEN BY MICHAEL MICELI AND DIANE THOMASSIN
By Diane Thomassin

GENRE: Romance, Drama
LOGLINE: Tired of being labeled a “grenade,” a single kindergarten teacher and her friends form 'The Bomb Squad,' a ragtag group dedicated to reclaiming their self-worth and learning how to outsmart narcissists along the way.

SYNOPSIS:

Back in high school, Ella wasn't exactly the prom queen—more like the grenade in a game of dodgeball. But did she let that get her down? Heck no! She and her pals, Bhupesh, Kyla, and the indomitable 'Big B', formed the Bomb Squad, turning "grenade" into a badge of honor. Their mission? To hit the clubs and snag a hottie faster than you can say "tequila shot." But then, plot twist! Ella's sister Jill is getting hitched, and their mom Bea insists Ella bring a date. Enter Jeff, the tall, smart, and devastatingly handsome chiropractor who seems to have stepped straight out of a rom-com dream. He sweeps Ella off her feet—literally, after she takes a tumble at the club. Jeff's there to catch her, and boom, she's hooked. Jeff's charming, he's funny, and he even wins over Ella's family and friends. But wait, there's a catch—because there's always a catch, right? As the relationship unfolds, Jeff's true colors start to show, and spoiler alert: they're not pretty. We're talking narcissism with a capital 'N'. Jeff's got more red flags than a Communist parade, constantly belittling and gaslighting Ella until she's questioning her own sanity. Ella's left feeling like she's the problem, and even when they reunite, it's clear this relationship is more toxic than a reality TV reunion special. Her friends and family are still seeing Jeff's Prince Charming act, while Ella's stuck in a psychological thriller. But fear not, because Ella finally has her "aha" moment, and it's more satisfying than a chocolate fountain at a wedding buffet. In a dramatic showdown at Jill's wedding, Ella stands up in front of everyone and dumps Jeff like yesterday's leftovers. It's a mic-drop moment for the ages, and Ella walks away with her head held high, ready to embrace her own worth and maybe even find a love that's truly deserving. This isn’t a typical happily ever after, it’s a tale of empowerment, self-discovery, and the ultimate realization that sometimes the best relationship you can have is the one with yourself. It’s also a reminder, if a guy seems too good to be true, he probably is.
