The Gate is a fantasy/action feature about two crusty bait and tackle guys who must stop eco-terrorists who have opened a time portal to the Pleistocene era to wipe out humanity's ancestors, thus erasing humans to save the planet from "modern day" us.

SYNOPSIS:

This is about good ol' boy, Hiram, wilderness guide, co-owner of a rental boat company with best friend, Brian, PhD. in Paleontology, Navajo, as they attempt to get an overdue rental boat back, and fall through a time-gate following Indra, Wallace, two CIA operatives who have infiltrated a group of environmental extremists who think the only way to save the planet is to kill our ancestors. These extremists have opened a time gate with the help of physicist Ollie Oldfather and are ready to dose the small groups of humans existing in the prehistoric world with a viral cocktail. They end up in Pleistocene North America. Hiram and Brian are joined by their other childhood friends, former Army Ranger/Boat repairman Topp and Police Officer Pete Dees who have gone looking for their buddies and fall through the open time gate right behind the enviromentalist’s supply shipment.
