In a quiet village touched by death, a boy learns that his sister’s life means their father still lives—wandering under a demon’s curse. To protect his children’s souls, the father can never come home, becoming a guardian who watches from the shadows of the world.

SYNOPSIS:

Synopsis

After the sudden death of their parents, a gentle village believes two young children have been left orphaned. The older brother struggles to survive, carrying his baby sister on his back through seasons of hunger, silence, and longing. Their home grows quiet, but the wind still whispers of their father.

One morning, the boy sees something impossible—his baby sister alive and smiling, untouched by death. Unaware of the truth, he takes it as a sign of hope, not knowing it means their father still walks the world.

Far from the village, the father wanders endlessly. Though alive, his soul is bound by demons he once defied. They curse him with an unbearable choice: if he ever returns to see his children again, their souls will be taken forever. To protect them, he must remain unseen—watching from mountains, forests, and distant roads, guarding them without touch or voice.

As years pass, the boy grows older and begins to sense invisible protection around them—doors opening at the right moment, storms stopping just short of their home, hunger eased by chance. Slowly, he learns the truth: his father’s love is the shield that keeps them alive.

But demons do not forget their bargains.

When the father’s strength fades and his final journey nears its end, the barrier between worlds weakens. The children must face the spirits that claim what they believe is owed. In a quiet act of love and sacrifice, the father gives the last of his soul—not to return home, but to break the curse—allowing his children to live freely, even if they never truly meet again.

In the end, the village speaks of a wandering spirit seen at dawn, smiling before disappearing into the light. The children grow up never knowing their father’s face—only the warmth of a love that followed them wherever they went.
