In present-day Wirral, as late Winter sends freezing white skies across the borough,

fleeting innocence prepares to face unflinching depravity, promising ruin for all.

Fresh from New Years’ break, shy but caring gay student Liam ‘Lee’ Holton (16)seems to have it all: an accepting family, loyal queer friends, and teachers’ respect

for his high GCSE predictions, surely guaranteeing a place at 6th-form college.

Better yet, new classmate Danny Tristan (16) has just transferred from Liverpool:

shorter, blonder, lively yet sensitive, the boy’s allure makes Liam’s heart flutter.

But something’s missing. A lack of feeling beyond longing that drives Liam mad.

The internet says he’s actually asexual…maybe.

Whatever it is, it’s keeping him away from Danny, lest he do something he regrets.

Until one harrowing night changes everything.

Supervising his school’s Winter Festival, Liam is suddenly cornered by older bullyGwyn Morris (17): an unwanted touch leaves him shaken, the assault filmed by
