Hi folks! I'm a French professional taking some time off in LA after finishing the movie "Secret life of Pets" at Illumination Mac Guff in Paris. Plus Stage 32 meetups are posted on RB's Weekend Blog to help notify members. Here's some additional tips... Choose a venue that's centrally located and has easy access: available parking, bus routes, etc. Restaurants with bars has worked well for me, as I wish for meetups to be social and not a working meeting. Lol! Also, holding it during the week and not on the weekend helps to avoid large crowds (depends on the venue). Many are able to socialize right after work, for example. Nonetheless, I've called ahead and talked to venues, asked what's the best time, made a reservation, held a couple of tables, etc... Also choosing a time like during "Happy Hour" to keep personal cost low, taking advantage of a venue's discount specials, etc, is very much appreciated by attendees. Most people understand it's "no-host" or that one must pay for their own drinks, food or coffee. Anyway, it's a fun way to meet people. Good luck and I wish you the best! ;)
