Meredith, a young, foolish optimist dreams of a life of romantic bliss with the man she's been dating nearly two years. On the night she believes is her engagement dinner she is instead introduced to her "fiance's" girlfriend AND wife. They are in turn introduced to Death's assistant and Death herself, who bring new meaning to the meaning of Life. And Death.
