Work Do is an office-based sitcom where we never see the office; instead each episode takes place at a different team away day, all intended to build harmony and cooperation but which actually have the opposite effect.
SYNOPSIS:
This pilot episode finds our central characters taking part in a team building session at a local leisure centre, where tightly-wound manager Kim has conceived two Escape Room challenges, the likes of which none of her team have ever seen before: a prison break and an office bomb threat! Needless to say, both of these scenarios backfire horribly, especially when an intoxicated interloper is drafted in to make up the numbers.
Future episodes of this half-hour narrative sitcom will take place at an improvisation workshop, wine tasting, a treasure hunt and ‘adult soft play’. During these misguided initiatives, our six central characters - Kim plus capable twenty-something Grace, middle aged Steve (a man lost in the modern world), closeted administrator Rajat, warm but steely H.R. maven Fern and intimidatingly bonkers department head Shashi - all undergo various personal crises against a backdrop of corporate faux-togetherness, even as a looming disaster gathers pace for their employer, one that means the second series will take this story in a very different direction.
