Jonathan Pope is an award-winning and Emmy-nominated Cinematographer whose work has been distributed and showcased around the world.
Since childhood, Jonathan has been drawn to visual storytelling in its many forms. He thrives on the collaborative process of bringing a director's vision to life - the meeting of images, intention, style, and substance.
His recent projects include the Barney the Dinosaur docuseries I LOVE YOU, YOU HATE ME (Peacock | Scout Productions), the Emmy-winning documentary-narrative THE SOCIAL DILEMMA (Netflix | Exposure Labs), and ROOF, an upcoming survival drama starring Bella Heathcote (NEON DEMON) and Asif Ali (WANDAVISION).
In 2021, Jonathan received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Cinematography (THE SOCIAL DILEMMA). He is a '22-23 ASC Vision Mentorship mentee under Adam Kane (AMERICAN GODS, THE BOONDOCK SAINTS), the recipient of the 2011 Charles Lang Endowed Scholarship for Cinematography, the 2012 Thomas B. Bush Memorial Scholarship for Cinematography, and USC's nominee for the 2012 Kodak Cinematography Scholarship and the 2013 ASC Heritage Award.
Jonathan earned his MFA in Film & Television Production from USC's School of Cinematic Arts and received a Bachelor's degree in Digital Filmmaking from Georgia Southern University.
Jonathan is a member of ICG IATSE Local 600.
