Quarantined during Covid, a young woman awakens one moving to find a charming ghost in her apartment.
SYNOPSIS:
Quarantined during a Covid lockdown, 20-something children’s book author Darcy Benedict awakens one morning to the sound of an intruder in her apartment. When she enters her kitchen, she discovers 30-something Zephyr Darlington going through her cabinets. Zephyr explains that he is a ghost who died in 1924, and convinces an unbelieving Darcy by disappearing and reappearing in the next room. Once Darcy gets over the initial shock, Zephyr explains that he has been sent down to help ensure that something fated for Darcy actually occurs.
During the months of the lockdown, Zephyr (who was Head Chef at the famous Algonquin Hotel) teaches Darcy to cook and she introduces him to television, on-line shopping, and binge-watching. When Zephyr is suddenly summoned back to the “other side”, Darcy, bereft and lonely, decides to try and get his Algonquin recipes published. As she meets with her publisher, Darcy is astonished to learn that another person is also writing an Algonquin cookbook, and when she meets him, she finally discovers the reason Zephyr came into her life.
