Hi everyone! 

I directed my first short, Marty’s Calling, for which we were selected by a few festivals. The short is a proof of concept for the feature I wrote and now I want to take the next step.

So, hive mind, what are your thoughts on what I might do? I’m open to selling the script or making it myself. I’ve listed it on InkTip and am going to Austin in October to pitch. I’ve also debated whether it would be good to upload the short to Amazon to generate interest. I’m not sure if that would be revealing too much or the story (it’s essentially the first act of the feature). 

I’d love to hear your opinions!

I'm Elisabeth.

First off, I have been hanging out in the shadows of Stage 32 for about 4ish months now, and have missed out on each Introduce Yourself weekend in that time. A failure of a sort?

I'm an actor, writer and an American (from Chicago) living in London.

My fail: When I first moved here, I had a long string of auditions in which I had to do a British accent... and I was literally laughed out of at least 3 of them.

There was even one occasion where it was for a traditionally American musical, but I was told at the audition that they had decided THAT MORNING to set it in the UK instead.

Anyway, I do appreciate that it's all just feedback. And I have been working on my accents (Thanks, YouTube!) so that I'm hopefully better prepared for future.

But it's fueled my desire to write. I'm currently writing a sitcom about a household of immigrants in London, where any and all accents are welcome!
