TAKE TWO
By RC Atchisson

GENRE: Comedy
LOGLINE:

A self-obsessed TV star attempts to stop the love of his life from marrying another by aligning with a mysterious stranger whose price may be much more than meets the eye.

SYNOPSIS:

DAVID SINCLAIR is on top of the world. He is the star of a top-rated television series, preparing to sign onto a lucrative film franchise, and dating MINA, a beautiful and successful attorney.

When his attitude and ego cost him all three, his whip-smart agent PENNY inadvertently plants the idea of starting from scratch back home where it all began. Unfortunately, to do that means he will have to stop the impending nuptials of BLAKE, the love of his life.

Returning to Iowa, things do not go as planned and he watches helplessly as Blake marries ROLAND. It is only after he meets ANGELO, a mysterious stranger who offers him the chance to change history. Though the proposition is vague, David is fairly certain what it will cost and who his new companion just might be.

In no time, everything seems to be looking up. He and Blake spend more time together with her ultimately questioning her marriage plans. David continues, despite the fact that he grows to actually like Roland. Once the true cost of the deal is revealed, David tries to cancel his pact, but Angelo informs him that the deal is not his to cancel.

Angelo even goes so far to “arrange” for David to be reinstated on his show and in the producer’s plans for the movie franchise. Now, David truly can have it all, but now he must decide if he is willing to do so at the cost of the damage that will be done to so many others.

When Penny arrives to celebrate, some words of wisdom she shares help David find his way back as he works to put all the pieces back together. After seeing that Blake and Roland finally get their happy ending, David realizes that might have been Angelo’s plan all along and that the stranger may not have been who…or what…David thought at all.
