Eight people, who are residents of Linden, New Jersey, sing a capella songs in doo wop style to pass the time as they wait for a delayed bus.
SYNOPSIS:
Six men, who are waiting for a bus have a discussion about how long they have been waiting for a bus that is obviously late in arriving at their destination. One of them asks what they should do to pass the time. Another man suggests they sing a song. Another asks how singing a song will lift their boredom and the question is answered (it will take their minds off the bus being late). All the men agree to the suggestion and begin the singing with the Thurston Harris song "Little Bitty Pretty One" and the Gene Chandler song "Duke Of Earl" in the style of doo-wop via a capella.
After the song ends, the men are relieved that the song lifted their boredom a little, but they still wished that the bus would come because it is still late. One of the men checks his watch and announces that another fifteen minutes have passed and still no bus has arrived.
Just then, two women join the men at the bus stop. One of them asks the men if they were waiting for the bus and one of them tells the women that they are and have been waiting for an hour and a half and no bus has shown up. The first woman is shocked at this and wonders what is wrong with the bus and states that it usually comes on time every day. The other woman asks what they can do while they wait for the bus. One of the men answers and tells the women that they have been singing an a capella song earlier and ask the men if they want to sing another one. Another man asks what song they should sing and the man who asked the previous question, asks the other men and the women if they know the words to "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" and the other men and the two women say they do in their own way and then, they sing the song, again in doo-wop style.
After the singing comes to an end, everyone congratulates each other for a song well sung. Thirty minutes later, they see the bus finally arrives at the bus stop. One of the men notices it arriving and tells the others that the bus is finally arriving. Then, the bus stops at the bus stop, the bus doors open, and everybody, except for one man, who actually lives in the city. He says aloud that he had fun singing the songs and decides to walk home and as he walks he blends with the crowd walking on the sidewalk.
