In the pilot, two detectives question two ladies who called in the murder of a prostitute on Thirty-Fourth Street on their way home from a local nightclub. As the detectives investigate the murder, it is revealed that it is one of the detective's birthday.
Later the investigating detectives go back to the precinct and give the info to their fellow detectives and their lieutenant. Their lieutenant tells the four detectives to go on home and start the investigation later in the morning.
Later that morning, the investigation begins with two detectives getting information about the victim from the medical examiner and they get a lot from the tattoos on the victim. Then, they question a prostitute the victim was working with and their pimp. Later in the investigation, the detectives and their lieutenant find out from the victim's mother that she was a cop who was also working undercover! So, the detectives also go undercover to solve the victim's murder.
Then, the two diverse lawyers of opposite genders discuss the trial with the alleged killer's lawyer once the killer is apprehended. After the trial, the 106th Precinct celebrate the detective's birthday along with the lawyers and the medical examiner.

Four diverse detectives work undercover in the tough borough of Queens New York. :)
Nick Assunto - Stage32 Script Services Coordinator Looking forward to hearing from you!!!
I like the concept, Jon Griffin. I think the series logline needs a better flow. How about something like: "Four diverse detectives of the 106th Precinct work undercover and solve crimes in the borough of Queens in New York City."
You could also add "deal with situations within their families" (from the synopsis) in the logline so the series sounds more unique.
