Michael Blake and Jennifer Marquez end up back solving mysteries when trying to clear the name of a friend accused of murder. A murder that may be tied to several art thefts and the FBI.
SYNOPSIS:
Screenwriter Michael Blake is still playing detective. The trouble begins when he inherits an estate from his uncle, a b-movie singing cowboy (the "Black Roy Rogers). While there, he becomes entangled in the murder of his lawyer. The twist is that his uncle's nurse is accused of the murder. By coincidence, the nurse, happens to be the son of a friend of Michael's agent, Clara Anderson. Clara hires none other than Michael's ex-girlfriend (and one time partner) Jennifer Marquez, who has since moved to California and traded the casino business, for the P.I business. As Michael and Jennifer work together and delve deep into the case, they uncover blackmail, art thefts, and a powerful woman in the middle. On top of all that, for Michael, the case soon becomes much more personal then he ever thought.
