An American history professor is given a chance to travel back in time and change history.
SYNOPSIS:
Adam Jones saw his father, a disillusioned Vietnam vet, shoot himself dead when he was a young man. Many years ago, Jones is a American history teacher with radical and angry thoughts about his country. He has come to believe that had America never been founded (or had Britain won the War for Independence) the world would have achieved world peace and unity, as opposed to the chaos that defines the world today. He soon gets a visit by a man known as Mr. Stone who, through a series of events, sends Jones back to time to prove his theory. What Adam discovers may surprise him more than he thinks.

Speaking as someone who's written a Time Travel screenplay, I know just how difficult a task it can be. Nonetheless, Michael's Idea is a very interesting take on that old and sometimes predictable Trope. This sounds like a great story. I'd really like to read the screenplay!
