An agnostic war veteran seeking a loan from his corrupt televangelist father gets caught up in a blizzard of grifted money, high-stakes deception, and family resentment.
SYNOPSIS:
Calvin Campbell, an agnostic veteran, reluctantly works for his corrupt televangelist father, Irwin. Cal pitches a restaurant venture with his wife, Yolanda. Irwin agrees to invest but, shortly after, is attacked and falls into a coma, leaving Cal facing ruin. At the hospital, Cal confronts his stepmother, Olivia, and stepbrother, Adam, as they plan to exploit Irwin's illness to fleece their congregation, creating further tension. As the news of Irwin’s condition gets out, ever-increasing cash donations flood the ministry. Understaffed and overwhelmed, Cal and his manager, Lenny, stash the money in a makeshift vault.
Olivia, out for revenge, destroys Cal’s investment deal and sabotages his restaurant venture. Adam appoints himself the new Minister and intends to fire Cal. With his back against the wall, Cal faces a fateful choice—rob the ministry or lose everything; just as tensions peak, Irwin wakes.
