SYNOPSIS:

In 2006, I became a civilian on the battlefield during a mandatory Marine Corps pre deployment training exercise in the Mojave Desert. The training range simulated a village in the Al Anbar province of Iraq. Ultimately, I was promoted from being a civilian on the battlefield ("meat puppet") to an insurgent; tasked to kill and capture Marines in training so they would not become casualties in Iraq.
