SYNOPSIS:

The mini-series follows twenty-year-old volunteer DAVID

EMORY from Carlisle Pennsylvania during his service with the

6th Pennsylvania Volunteer Cavalry (Rush’s Lancers) during

the American Civil War.

Guilty at not initially volunteering with most of his fellow

townsfolk during the first year of the war, and despite his family

and fiancée’s objections, Emory puts his life on the line for a

cause he believes in. Along the way his mettle is tested not

just in battle with the Confederate Army, but also among his

own army.

It’s a story of ordinary men who volunteer to fight, rising

above trying times and circumstances, in some cases making

the ultimate sacrifice, for a cause they believe in, saving their

country and ridding it of slavery, and of heroes and villains and

the exhilaration and horrors of war.
