Louis was hired to co-write the limited series pilot, now in development, for Shad Meshad's autobiography CAPTAIN FOR DARK MORNINGS. He co-wrote an original western pilot, PURGATORY, a 2021 Austin Second Rounder, a 2022 ISA Fast Track Second Rounder, and a 2023 Save The Cat TOP 25 advancement pending. His feature adaptation of the 1940 novel, THE DOGS AND THE WOLVES, by French author Irene Nemirovsky was a 2023 Austin Second Rounder. His pilot adaptation of the Pulitzer Prize finalist MEAN SPIRIT, by acclaimed Indigenous poet and author Linda Hogan, was a Quarter Finalist in the 2019 WeScreenPlay competition. He adapted Warren Easley's NOT DEAD ENOUGH for a proposed anthology of Easley’s Claxton mystery series.
He is currently working on an original feature drama inspired by real "mediEVIL" people and actual events.

He comes to writing after a diverse career in veterinary medicine and environmental science.
