Two teens - one girl and one dhampir - form an unlikely bond to unravel the mysteries beholding an apartment building filled with unusual residents.
SYNOPSIS:
We follow the footsteps of the 8-year-old girl LISA WILSON, who discovers that her new life in the small rural town of STONEFIELD isn’t as dull as she thought. But first she meets a boy named Jesper. A regular boy it seems, but by the end of the first episode she learns that there’s nothing ordinary about her new town, when he tells her he’s an Dhampir – part human, part vampire. Together they form an unlikely bond when they try to unravel a mystery beholding the only apartment building in town. When Lisa enters her new school she befriends a new student, Ty, who is fascinated by vampires and immediately wants to form a club of mostly outcasts, very much like they did in the classic movies – IT, Goonies, Stand by me – he loves to watch in reruns. Instead of calling themselves The Losers, they go for the MONSTER MYSTERY CLUB as Lisa is a fan of Scooby Doo.
The parents of Lisa start their new life in Stonefield with new jobs, HOLLY as a stay-at-home mom and assistant, and DAVID as the new practitioner. But they soon discover their new life is not something they bargained for when their other daughter Deidre Dee or DD for short is kidnapped by the neighbor who turns out to be a witch, wanting to have total control over Stonefield and its inhabitants. This witch - CHERYL - once tried to run for Major the conventional way, but wasn’t elected, so she tries to keep the town together and out of sight until she can have a go for Major again. But poor DD ruins everything when she makes a few videos of things she wasn’t supposed to see and uploaded it online. But that’s something for the end of the season.
This is a series about monsters and ghouls, but foremost it’s a series about kids and how they deal with the ups and downs of life.
