LOGLINE:

After a struggling screenwriter is wrongly accused of being a notorious serial killer, a semi-retired attorney will be the only thing that stands between him and the electric chair.

SYNOPSIS:

Primal Fear meets A Few Good Men: Hell Is an Innocent Man captures the high-intensity courtroom drama and moral dilemmas of Primal Fear with the sharp legal battles and personal stakes of A Few Good Men, delivering a gripping exploration of justice and redemption.

Gray Collins, a once-renowned prosecutor turned jaded defense attorney, is dragged back into the high-stakes world of criminal litigation when he reluctantly agrees to assist on the case of Mark Morris, a struggling screenwriter accused of being the infamous K-Town Slasher (a notorious serial killer).

With the city of Los Angeles already convinced of Mark’s guilt, Gray quickly realizes this case is far from straightforward. The evidence is damning—connections to the victims, suspicious behavior, and a string of unsettling coincidences—but Mark’s desperate claims of innocence ignite a spark of doubt in Gray.

As Gray dives deeper, he uncovers a tangled web of fabricated evidence, systemic corruption, and shadowy figures pulling strings behind the scenes. With his former colleagues in the DA’s office circling like sharks, Gray must confront the fallout of his own past as a prosecutor while unraveling whether his client is a scapegoat or a monster.

The case pushes Gray to his limits, with personal and professional stakes mounting. As the trial looms and the shadow of the death penalty grows darker, Gray finds himself battling not only the legal system but his own conscience. In a world where the line between justice and vengeance blurs, Gray must gamble everything to prove Mark’s innocence—or risk sending an innocent man to his death
