LOGLINE:

A family cruise turns into a pirate treasure hunt for three siblings on an island stop only to be confronted with getting lost and dealing with the local wildlife until Captain Graybeard rescues them when real pirates kidnap the two older siblings.

SYNOPSIS:

Jeff Elliot spends the day on the ocean aboard a chartered fishing trip boat. Soon, a storm wreaks havoc on the small vessel, and they face being sunk.

Twenty years later, before taking a family cruise, the two older Wright siblings, Jane, and Julian, devise a plan to seek pirate treasure while on an island stop. Meanwhile, the Wright family enjoys time on the cruise watching the shows, playing games, and the arcade. They finally arrive at the island stop where the parents leave the kids in care of a chaperone at the beach while they return to the ship for some spa-day, adult time.

Then, Jane and Julian journey through the jungle from the beach, but the younger sibling, Mary, knows of their plans and follows them. Altogether, the kids delve deeper into the jungle and soon find they’re lost, and the wildlife is very active and scary. Soon, they face a singular of wild boars bent on attacking them. Just then, Captain Graybeard, a man dressed in 1600s pirate captain attire, steps in to aid in their escape and takes them back to his elevated grass hut. He tells them he was shipwrecked 20 years ago while on a fishing trip. He's been able to survive, especially after finding the hut.

The group of four search for the pirate treasure using the map they printed before leaving on the cruise. They arrive at the spot but are disappointed to find there is no treasure. However, Captain Graybeard leads them into a cave nearby, where he got his pirate captain attire, in the hopes they may find some treasure there. While in the cave, a giant spider attacks the group but they’re able to escape, empty-handed.

They decide to return to the beach to get back on the ship with Captain in-tow. However, he decides to go back to the hut to retrieve a picture of his little girl, then he’ll make his way to the beach. On their way back to the beach, the kids run into real pirates and Jane and Julian are kidnapped while Mary escapes back to alert Captain Graybeard. Captain Greybeard grabs some homemade weapons and head for the kids with Mary.

Captain Graybeard knew of the pirates and built booby traps in case he needed to escape. Now, he uses those traps to capture all but the first mate as the pirate captain makes his way back to the boat with Jane and Julian in hand. Captain Graybeard overtakes the first mate and formulates a plan to approach the pirate boat undetected. He dresses up as the first mate and ties up Mary, then boards the dinghy to approach the pirate ship. Onboard the pirate boat, they overtake the pirate captain. However, he gets loose and captures them all. The coast guard arrives after being notified by the cruise ship captain. This now becomes a hostage situation, but Jane pushes the pirate captain overboard, saving their lives as the coast guard move into action. Jeff, Captain Graybeard, is finally rescued along with the missing kids.

After being home for a while, the Wright family decide to go on a day of sailing, though the kids are unhappy and missing Captain Graybeard. Just then, Jeff pulls up to the marina dock slip next to their sailboat. A happy reunion for them all. Then, he invites them to dinner at his daughter’s house. While at dinner, Jeff reveals he went back to the island to search for the missing treasure and shows them a chest filled to the brim with doubloons and gems. He donates it to the Wright family. In a museum on the island, an exhibit houses a few pieces of treasure from the find, crediting Jeff and the Wright children.
