Past, present and future tangle around thieves seeking redemption, love and their own true identities.

SYNOPSIS:

With their last near-death experience just weeks in the past, Hurley and Sal are forced on yet another ridiculous quest, on behalf of the same sadistic magistrate who sent them on the last hairbrained undertaking. To make matters worse, as if they weren’t bad enough, the same companions they almost got killed in the first round, they must ask to risk their lives again. If that is, they can even find them.

Battered, bedraggled, and chased from pillar to post, they manage to collect their original party members from several unsavory circumstances and get them all headed in the right direction, though somewhat reluctantly. Amidst the melee of mounting enemies, and the meddling’s of more than one of their own, they face revelations of pieces of their past which complicate things with the quest and the women they love. Friends are hard to come by, and they have few enough already. However, everything they think they know about their friends will change as they search for the means to steal a crown resting on the head of the one person who wants them all dead the most.

As their quest grows older, and their friends grow stranger, Hurley and Sal must keep the group together, keep their necks in tack, and deal with growing suspicions each has about the other’s past. Though they manage to keep most of their company alive, and obtain the crown, their relationship will change forever, as will their expected future. Time, and the next chapter, will tell if their friendship, or even their necks will survive the change.
