Ever since I saw my first movie Chitty, Chitty Bang Bang I fell in love with the world of movies. Since I first saw The Duck Van Dyke Show I always wanted to be a comedy writer. Yes, I think Dick Van Dyke is a national treasure!
I started my journey at the tender age of 46. I did not believe in myself. Yes, read that last sentence again.
My break came as an actor when I auditioned for an NBC pilot “ I’m with Stupid.” That lead to an agent taking me in.
In 2014, I got hired to write a stage play for Uppermost Entertainment in Dallas. A one man stage play comedy called “ I’m Always on my Mind.” I wrote it in three weeks. It did very well and got the attention of Broadway: We hope to get it there in a few years:
I got hired as the Director of Development for Uppermost. I now oversee all our projects in development. Books, plays, TV shows,?films:
We have many projects in development, and we will begin full time production soon. Within a year or so.
We do projects right or we don’t do them at all. The business is too difficult not to do it well.
Hire the right people for the job. Get your ego out of the way. Expect excellence when you write, act, produce, direct: Be detailed, go the extra mile. Be relaxed and have fun. Treat people well. These are the pillars of success.
I have my own company as well, Cinema Zone Productions LLC. No website yet, but it is coming.
You can go to and read about us there.
The job I have was not possible when I started. It’s an exciting time in this industry. I had to do it this way, for you see I have mild cerebral palsy and Hollywood won’t hire me as an actor or writer. And trust me, I’m excellent at writing and good at acting. I will be so good, they can’t ignore me!
Be the same way, and with the help of the Good Lord, I may see you while I’m flying in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, or in Rob’s office on The Alan Brady Show.!”
Unique traits: Worked out for over 35 years. I'm muscular, strong in upper body. Not Arnold, but you can tell I work out. Not heavyset, carry an extra 10lbs! Have cerebral palsy on left side. Affects my motor skills. Speech is normal.
