Decker is a photographer who specializes in photographing and investigating historical locations. She began TV production in the early eighties on public access. Decker was the first person in the Dallas metroplex to take what was then called the “Qube” van (remote van) to produce Ray Wylie Hubbard Live at Dallas Palace. To shoot the concert and in addition to the remote van, Decker used multiple cameras, both remote and stationary and had a crew of 12. She was asked by the Mesquite Chamber of Commerce to produce a monthly business magazine and out it together. For this show, Decker produced, edited and directed. It consisted of a host and local business owners in a talk show setting. While the shows were for public access the commercial channel of Warner Amex took her show and began to run it on commercial cable and offered her a chance at working on it. This show came about after she produced, edited, directed and hosted, Why are we killing our children. It was an early version of today’s talk shows with audience interaction. She has over 30 years of professional experience as an investigator, both criminally and civilly, as a writer, author and photographer. She retired in 2007 from law enforcement where she was the assistant chief of police, negotiator, instructor, PIO and lead investigator to delve back into writing and photography. She was a first place Associated Press Award recipient in 1995 for specialty reporting of an investigative article. Decker’s professional photography career began when she was 18 years old as a studio photographer. She shot rock concerts promoted and produced by Mid-South Productions in Memphis, TX during 1972-1973. During that time she shot concerts of many big name bands from David Bowie to Frank Zappa and continued shooting musicians when she moved to Texas for a number of years. A few years before that her photography was included in a coffee table photo book, The Big Click in Texas. She's been on numerous radio shows as a guest speaker and accepts speaker engagements for conferences, including writers, paranormal, comicons and crypto in addition to a variety of other conferences and speaking engagements. Decker recently completed her first book, Paranormal Profiling. She is a SCUBA diver and spent a number of years as a firefighter and rescue diver with the local volunteer fire department. Decker is serving the citizens in her county as a historical commissioner for Kaufman County.
