Gail Travers is an actor, writer and stand-up comedian and performs at the Comedy Store, Flappers, Laugh Factory and the Ice House and various other comedy venues in Los Angeles. She’s a member of SAG-AFTRA and has performed in a long running comedy improv troupe called “The Madrigals” in Manhattan. She also had the lead role in the film, "The Pianist” with Maury Chaykin. The film was in the Official Selection at the Cannes Film Festival and the Toronto International Film Festival.
She was cast in Oprah’s promotional campaign called her “Image Baby” and had the lead role in a film called "Fiji Islands, Days in Paradise" which won the Silver at the New York Festivals.
Gail resides in Los Angeles and is a graduate of Concordia University with a Bachelor of Commerce, a graduate in film at Ryerson University where she was nominated twice for best film, a postgraduate of Humber College in Comic Script Writing where she was awarded a scholarship for her comedic feature film script and a graduate of George Brown College in Screenwriting.
She’s a published writer for Anokhi magazine, which is a women’s fashion magazine distributed in the U.S., Canada and the U.K. and has written for the health and business sections. She wrote, directed, produced and acted in a short comedic film entitled, “Life in a Fish Bowl”
Her latest comedic feature film as an actor was, “An Irrelephant” written and directed by Paul Bellini.
She is currently writing a new comedic/crime pilot.
