ZOMBIE BEE

ZOMBIE BEE
By Val Chernyavskiy

GENRE: Drama
LOGLINE:

An experienced bureaucrat builds a quiet empire on corruption—until the system that nurtured him falls silent, waiting for something... and the line between prosperity, peace, and paranoia starts to fade. He knows he must prepare, but how? Life never taught him this... Yet he understands what he must face.

SYNOPSIS:

Vasily is a seasoned government official who rose through the chaos of the 1990s, building a career—and a hive.

A personal empire of backdoor deals, political connections, and quietly accumulated wealth. He was taught the golden rule: “Steal smart. Share with the top. And you’ll be left in peace.”

For years, that pact kept him safe—until he realized a brutal truth: he, like many before him, was just a bee fattened on honey, raised not to thrive, but to be harvested.

Now the hive turns on him.

The enforcers are closing in. His allies are arrested, bank accounts frozen, and state media rolls out a campaign of “purification.”

Vasily fights back—calls in favors, pleads, searches for a way out. But the system no longer needs him. The hive is being rebuilt, and the old drones are discarded without mercy.

In the end, Vasily makes his final move.

A muffled gunshot.

Inside a luxury car.

In a frozen suburb.

He thought he was the master of his own life, gathering from the flowers all he deemed valuable and carrying it home. But the one who let him harvest is the true master of the treasures.
