SYNOPSIS:

The tale covers the thrilling account of a man deeply involved in organised crime, his rise to power, control, wealth and untimely demise. Which then opens the way for Olga, his companion of convenience, to find the key that unlocks his personal fortune, which has been cleverly stolen and carefully hidden.

Maxim is not a self-made man. His own family's history in extortion dates back to the 17th-century. Violence, greed, slavery and manipulation established and destroyed Russian America in Alaska. Later, the frenzy of the Klondike Gold Rush of 1897, was a prime target for the development of organized crime. As the gold ran out, the time was right for his ancestors to return to Russia, amass an underworld empire and establish power in their homeland, through the turbulent political and social revolutions of the times and up to the present. For Olga, all her years of subjugation finally come to an end, through bravada, she's reconnected to her former self, in defiance of the vory, the "thieves-in-law".
