Looking for an Agent, Manager, Entertainment Lawyer, or Production Company for a Comedic Screenplay... No Easy Way Out.
REGARDING PASS ON A SCRIPT FROM A PROFESSIONAL COVERAGE COMPANY. GET ONE? PASS. MEANS. NOTHING. It means, you got the wrong paint color for your house. It means, "I didn't order this, I ordered a cheeseburger." It means, "yeah he was a nice guy but like no way could he be like, A DAD." it means; STU...

It means, "I didn't order this, I ordered a cheeseburger." It means, "yeah he was a nice guy but like no way could he be like, A DAD." it means; STUFF. NEEDS. A FIXIN'. One of THE BEST RELATIONSHIPS I have ever had came from a PASS on a script. The screenplay; PEANUT BUTTER CHRISTMAS. I got jammed up over it (sorry) and I thought it would go after the writer cured what ailed but it didn't go. Which also means NOTHING. The script could GO TOMORROW. You just don't know. Why? All together now: BECAUSE NOBODY KNOWS ANYTHING! hugs. BB PS Except the guy who thought Robert Downey Jr. should be IRONMAN. That guy or gal KNOWS SOMETHING! Damn, That's friggin' kismet!

I just want to know what I am doing wrong. My beats are all there it's been professionally edited and the writing is better than some produced screenplays I have read. I made sure the budget was medium range and would be highly marketable. It's just frustrating, because I know it has true potential.

Expand commentRay, read this very carefully: it's. luck. pure and simple. I do this all day full time for NO MONEY. WGA rules prohibit me from charging a reading fee. I do my show for free however in the hopes of finding great stuff and be a kind of matchmaker. Naked specs, (scripts which are not pre packaged) are insanely hard to get set up ANYWHERE. And in this economy? forget it. So up your odds. Be sure you are on inktip, synop and log line NO SCRIPT, vet the reader first!. keep track of all your leads. be nice. follow up with a quick note now and then to see who is looking for what. be sure TO READ scriptshadow to stay on your game and listen to my show so you know what I want. I HAVE nothing but respect for what you all try to do as writers. Insanely hard. But a fine journey. Make it about the WRITING. Not the sale Thanks for the kind words. BB
I contacted an agent last week who asked me why he should take on my work and market it when I can do this myself. Strange reaction from an agent I thought.
Now that is just wild. I'm just tired of the run around. You hear to get an agent, or manager and then some say do it yourself, it truly is a circle of confusion.
Thank you Tom! I enjoy comedy writing myself although I haven't found an agent who has thought I'm funny yet..lol
Thanks for the add, Raymond!!! :)
