SYNOPSIS:

This was my first screenplay. A fun way to document the research I was doing into the period of the Wars of Scottish Independence -- following the lives of ANDREW (De Moray) MURRAY, WILLIAM WALLACE and future king ROBERT BRUCE before he joined the Scots' cause indefinitely.

Patriots opens in Scotland - 1286. The death of King ALEXANDER III wrenches the country from its comfort zone and attracts the attention of tyrannical English monarch, EDWARD I. As the Longshanks' grip tightens, the lives of patriots William Wallace, Andrew Murray and a young Robert the Bruce long before his ascension to the throne intertwine in a tale of love, loss, revenge and freedom.

I have since gone on to focus on Scotland’s often forgotten, unsung hero Andrew Murray as my single protagonist in a new feature which is ready now.
