SYNOPSIS:

•A Grand Day Oot is a Drama set in Ayr and Blackpool in 2011 where Bingo buddies Aggie, Marjory and Lizzie welcome in new girl Norma. •Norma talks the women into going to Glasgow for her 67th birthday. They get drunk and end up on a bus to Blackpool instead of Ayr. •They wake up in Blackpool and want to get back home but Norma decides to have some fun while waiting for help and they go to Blackpool Pleasure Beach. They end up on the rollercoaster’s and Norma has a heart attack on the Pepsi Max. Norma later dies in hospital but her dying words were “didn’t we have fun, I feel young again”. •By the end of the film Aggie, Marjory and Lizzie have found life again and celebrate Norma’s memory by going down the water slides at Irvine.
