SYNOPSIS:

THE TEASER

Maximum Beauty is a 30-minute episodic dramedy. It’s a character driven view of Beverly Hills plastic surgery. Think “Shameless” meets “ER”.

Having worked in Beverly Hills plastics for the past twenty years, I wanted to create a show that exposed the insanity of the inner workings of a surgery center. To let the viewer in on the fun, I had to base the content on a hell of a lot of truth. Take it from me, behind the doors of the real Beverly Hills, the players are larger than life, more flawed, and more entertaining than one could ever imagine.

THE WORLD

Maximum Beauty is set in the current day Beverly Hills. Nearly every office building in the coveted 90210 zip code houses up to a dozen surgery centers. Spend a minute on a corner in the “golden triangle” and you’ll spot medical staff navigating the streets in their monochromatic surgical scrubs. While they may look relaxed, to make it here, and I mean really make it, they require the determination and grit to bend morality. It’s a crush or be crushed world, where the feeble flop, faster than the latest trend that started right here, in Beverly Hills.

THE PILOT

Our pilot begins with our protagonist, accomplished craniofacial surgeon and chief of surgery candidate, BOBBIE CRONIN MD, rebuilding the face a three-year-old who’s been thrown out of an apartment window by his father.

Post-surgery, Bobbie learns that her failed chef husband FRANK has just cheated on her, again. Bobbie’s later tasked with performing the recon on the three-year-old’s father’s face who is soon to be released from custody due to police brutality. Bobbie injects local into the dura of the father’s brain, sending him into cardiac arrest.

The displeased hospital’s Board of Regents denies Bobbie her place as Chief of Surgery, damming her to the ER. It's here where MAXIMILLIAN BELLUE MD, an over the hill, no filter, Beverly Hills plastic surgeon whose hands are now failing him, coerces Bobbie into becoming his partner at his new surgery center, Natural Beauty Surgery.

At Max's new center we meet SHERRY, the front-desk-girl who ironically suffers from dysmorphic-syndrome. JUAN, the gay Instagram crazed surgical nurse. And DR. AKBAR, an obnoxious anesthesiologist.

At Natural Beauty we watch Bobbie and the team struggle to keep the center running while battling their across the hall competition at Maximum Beauty. This is all despite their ultra conscious approach to surgery that pushes natural results in an overdone world.
