SYNOPSIS:
web series, revolving around a young half-Japanese daughter of an once-big-now-very-dead Yakuza boss, living at her mothers sister. She is not only secretly a adrenaline junkie and a semi-famous underground deafmetal punk rock singer, but one day finds out to be the last in a long line of Shinobi. Being trained by an old and very nasty master (actually a manifestation of an ancestor, released from an old family heirloom sword), she has to restore the families honor, save the world against dark forces and ancient evil magic, while learning for her finals. During the training, the old master often refers to famous ancestors of the heroine and tells their story in juxtaposition to the episodes lesson and, or the old mans lecture. These stories are drawn in a bit more realistic and bloody Samurai Jack style. The film style is a mix of anime, kung-fu genre and a bit of karate kid, with a lot of sword fighting, ninja sneakiness and bloody combat - somewhere in the level of Kill Bill. I have a whole lot of background on the ninjas (interwoven with actual historical facts and myth) and will incorporate a lot of old Japanese folklore and fairy tale monsters. Her fathers old enemies are after her as well and as it turns out, they have been since medieval times. Plenty of possibilities not only visually - braking the generic style and go a bit more game/augmented reality, anime cross over and old style kung-fu - but also for plots and stories and for the characters to develop.
