A graduate of NYU's prestigious Tisch School of the Arts, Ryan has spent the last few years working tirelessly on sets ranging from small independent films (Don Jon, A Birder's Guide to Everything) to Hollywood Blockbusters (The Dark Knight Rises, Captain America: The First Avenger). He's worked as a 1st Assistant Director on various projects, and has directed three short films of his own (Going Down, Fortitude, and The Final Illusion) with several more films in pre-production.
Alongside personal projects, he's produced several other shorts, and acted as a production manager/writer/director for the web based comedy troupe The Horse Thing. With the recent acquisition of the MoVi, Ryan has become an active camera operator and acts as the "Gimbal Op" or "Runner" for the two person operated rig.
