A native of the San Francisco Bay Area, I came into Production Design by way Interior Design. After a lifetime involved with theater and film, and fifteen years designing homes, Production Design was the natural marriage of My Two Loves: Film and Design. While my acting background allows me to instinctively know how an actor will move through a space, my design background enables me to predict what the director and cinematographer are trying to achieve aesthetically.
Setting the scene and mood is thrilling to me, but when I'm not designing sets, I'm writing screenplays. As a theater/journalism major in college, I have always come back to my writing. Storytelling is visual. From the page, we see it all play out in our mind's eye: the nuanced characters, the all-encompassing ambience, the action, struggle, and triumph. Creating worlds on the page is second nature.

Nominated for multiple writing awards, I have three feature screenplays available: INTO DARKNESS, LOVE IN ABSENTIA and THE CROSSING (see Logline posts).
I'm currently working as a Production Designer on projects in Los Angeles, Seattle and San Jose.
