When Mike's best friend commits suicide, he runs away from home. He eventually runs into Casey, a divorced man, who lives alone in his apartment. They strike a deal to become roommates but when Casey's dying mother sends him out to find his estranged brother, Mike realizes he isn't the only one running away from something.
