SYNOPSIS:

A successful South African human organ donor institution is in crisis – shortage of matching organs for their high profile clients, which forces them to find new ways of preserving their harvest. They forge a partnership with corrupt doctors and nurses in government hospitals for organs from illegal immigrants. Ester, a Zimbabwean house keeper secretly dating a successful married lawyer dies a few days after a simple operation to remove her fibroids. Despite their social gap, Mondli loved his mistress who was a replica of the traditional African woman he has always wanted to marry. When his lover suddenly dies, Mondli’s devastation at losing his soul mate forces him to investigate Ester’s death where he unearths shocking, unexpected and unexplained foreign deaths. Further investigation leads Mondli to the man who runs the organ donor organization and his wife Anna, new owner of Ester’s transplant heart. As a lawyer Mondli knows he should report his findings to the police but he has no faith in the judiciary system and decides to take matters into his own hands.
