SHARPTOP

LOGLINE:

After a teenage gang member with a fatal kidney disease is shot and left for dead in the streets of Detroit, he tracks down his younger would be assassin and must decide whether to take his revenge or save the kid from secret horrors.

SYNOPSIS:

Sharptop is an eighteen year old white kid from the suburbs who earned his way into an all-black gang in a dangerous area of Detroit known to be a ruthless pit of murder and mayhem. With a girl he desperately wants to marry on his mind and his days on earth becoming more unpredictable, Sharptop decides he will leave the gang after one last crime spree. During a violent robbery he is shot by a sixteen year old gunman who was paid to kill him by his enemies. On the operating table he has a vision that changes his life—his future daughter speaking to him from Heaven. Sharptop survives. As he slowly heals, his girlfriend begs him to leave Detroit and start a new life with her in another state. Sharptop is torn. He is filled with anger and ultimately decides to seek revenge. As he tracks his would be assassin and learns his identity, he discovers that the boy has been a victim of life-long sexual abuse at the hands of a family member. Now Sharptop must decide whether to kill the kid who tried to take his life or save him and find salvation along the way. Whatever he decides, he knows his life and that of his girlfriend will again be in grave jeopardy.
