The son of a flaky New Age/South Asian sage refuses to help his father create a new life and dodge the IRS and in the process summons a demon that will reveal the secret of death to him – but at an enormous price.
SYNOPSIS:
Hayden Rooney has it made – sort of. He’s the son of a religious polyglot who had reinvented himself multiple times to become the Sage Vajasravasa. But when his dad sells off all his dodgy belongings as a tax dodge, Hayden cries foul and threatens to go to the IRS. His father disowns him and promises him “a present.” Instead of the hitman his dad intended, Hayden meets Yama. Is he the hitman the Sage hired or something else? Yama takes Hayden on a journey of life, love, death and Baby Duck to discover what it means to0 be alive and dead. The film has the virtue of being set in virtually one location (with a few cut aways) and a few special effects. It is based on the Upanishad document, which is an ancient source of wisdom. This takes that ancient wisdom and make sit contemporary.
