Laying low after a run-in with a pesky paparazzo, Hollywood’s top leading lady finds her true love while hiding out on the set of a zombie movie and has to woo him wearing dead-face.
SYNOPSIS:
For Matty Idol, life on top is tough.
Hollywood’s number one actress, Matty’s love life is a disaster, she’s been on a diet for ten years and the last time she had a vacation was in elementary school. An actress since she was in high school, she hasn’t got time for a date let alone a relationship. Her hyper-drive career is run by her scheming agent and she’s constantly pursued by a pack of prying paparazzi eager to splash her latest heartbreak all over the front pages of the tabloids.
After a run-in with a litigious photographer, Matty goes into hiding by accepting a bit-part in a zombie movie being shot in Vancouver, Canada. Accompanied by her cousin, Chrissy, she can lay low as the “Third Zombie” until things cool down in L.A.
Things don’t go as planned – Matty unexpectedly meets the love of her life on set:Rock Sanford, the gorgeous leading man. How can Matty romance him when she dare not show her real face for fear of discovery? And what happens when the litigious photographer finally tracks her down?
Night of the Loving Dead is a romantic, comic romp through the world of the film industry’s hottest genre – zombie movies. This romantic comedy blends a satire of the Hollywood star-maker machinery with the high camp of the undead. A cross between Roxanne and Shaun of the Dead, the film ends with Matty and her love Rock pursued by the paparazzi pack and her manager as they seek refuge at her parent’s wedding anniversary. Mayhem ensues.
