About Randy

Randy Scott Steinlauf is president of Shirasuna Productions, and an autodidactic, award-winning, Franco-American screenwriter based in Portugal.

He wrote, produced and directed his first short film “Fortificada – Family Council” in 2023 based on his feature screenplay “Fortificada” and most recently, in September 2023, the new short film “The Festival.”

Before filmmaking, he was a global senior executive in several Fortune 500 companies where he spent nearly 30 years working and living in France, Japan, China and Spain.

He earned a Masters in International Business Studies from the University of South Carolina and holds a BA in French from the University of Illinois.

He speaks English, French, Portuguese, and some Japanese.
